Oral Medicine and the Oral Cavity
Many patients are worried about another benign condition
of the oral cavity, which is the outgrowth of bone in the
upper and lower jaws. The technical term is torus mandibularis
and torus palatines. The mandibularis refers to
the lower jaw and palatines refers to the upper jaw. These
are benign entities. They only need to be removed if there
is ulceration or in the way of fabricating dentures.
